We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Tax Senior to join our dynamic finance team. This position plays a critical role in our organization, providing expert tax advice and strategies to our diverse client base. As a Permanent Tax Senior, you will work closely with our clients to understand their business operations, financial situations, and tax objectives. You will be responsible for preparing complex tax returns, identifying tax planning opportunities, and ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws. Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
2. Provide expert tax planning and consulting services to our clients.
3. Research and interpret tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify tax savings opportunities.
4. Collaborate with our team of accountants and auditors to provide comprehensive financial services to our clients.
5. Manage and maintain client relationships, ensuring that their tax and financial needs are met.
6. Stay up-to-date with the latest tax laws and regulations, and participate in professional development activities.
7. Provide guidance on M&A transactions, insolvency issues, and valuation matters.
8. Utilize Quickbooks and other accounting software to maintain accurate financial records and prepare tax returns.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a tax senior role, preferably within a public accounting firm.
3. Extensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including expertise in real estate tax, S Corp, C Corp, trusts and probate, and bankruptcy.
4. Experience with M&A transactions, insolvency issues, and valuation matters.
5. Proficiency in Quickbooks and other accounting software.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to clients in a clear and understandable manner.
8. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
9. Commitment to providing exceptional client service and maintaining client confidentiality.
10. Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to mentor and develop junior staff members.
