Salary : $90k to $115k + Bonus
Schedule: In-office is preferred, but we are open to hybrid. Busy Season Hours range from 50 hours to 60 hours per week.

This firm provides Advisory, Tax Compliance, and Accounting Services to small and mid-sized businesses across the country. Clients served are in the Real Estate, Construction, Manufacturing, and various other industries.

Clients served are in the Real Estate, Construction, Manufacturing, and various other industries.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and review Federal, State and local tax returns including corporate, partnership and individual returns.
- Actively contribute to the design and planning of tax engagements and advise clients on various tax issues, such as depreciation, impact of tax reform, business restructuring and tax controversy
- Create, update, and follow up on client document request lists and ensure the timely filing of tax reports
- Research technical guidance and provide potential conclusions to managers and partners
- Proactively interact with and update clients, managers, and partners on the status of tax projects and deliverables
- Maintain and develop strong client relationships and identify opportunities for additional services
- Manage engagement workflow, engagement team resources, and engagement billing
- Mentor and develop junior staff, providing leadership, counseling, career guidance, and feedback
- Maintain a professional appearance and develop knowledge across various industries, including distribution, real estate, retail, and other commercial businesses
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field as well as an active CPA license, or the willingness to obtain within 12 months.
- 3 + years of relevant income tax experience with an advanced understanding of: S-corp basis, partnership allocations, tax liability analysis, and planning.
- Advanced technical tax skills with a focus on pass-through entities and their principals, especially with real estate expertise in: 1031s, TICs, QOZ/Fs, funds, and investment syndications.
- 1041 experience is a plus.
- Exceptional written and oral communications.
- Strong general ledger experience preferred
- Advanced technology proficiency with expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Recent experience using CCH ProSystems Fx or Axcess.
- Ability to adapt quickly to an ever-changing environment
- Highly organized with a keen sense of moving things forward to positive end results
- Ability to excel in a high-impact position within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
