* Responsibilities and Duties:
- As a trusted member of the engagement team, provide tax compliance and consulting services (corporate, individual, pass-through, etc.) to clients across various industries. Adapt flexibly to support and consult on indirect taxes faced by business entities, in addition to income-based taxes.
- Focus on daily tax issues for clients ranging from mid-sized companies to multinational corporations, becoming a valuable tax business advisor.
- Provide consulting on technical matters and special projects in various fields such as corporate tax, pass-through tax, accounting methods, and ASC 740.
- Research various tax issues, respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities, and make recommendations to clients.
- Conduct research on complex tax issues such as state and local taxes, wealth taxes, international taxes, research and development tax credits, and deductions and incentives.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Law, or a similar degree in Business; a Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation is preferred.
- Business level of Japanese
- CPA, EA, or Juris Doctor degree.
- Over 5 years of experience providing federal tax compliance and consulting services in a professional services firm.
- Over 2 years of supervisory experience, including mentoring and counseling associates.
- Demonstrated management skills, analytical abilities, organizational skills, interpersonal skills, project management capabilities, and communication skills.
- Ability to mentor and supervise others, provide excellent customer service, and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning to stay updated on applicable strategies.
- Ability to grasp both the "big picture" and "details," show appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment, and demonstrate a sense of urgency and commitment to the quality and timely completion of projects.
