Our client seeking a highly experienced **Senior Tax Accountant** with 8-15 years of expertise in both large and small public accounting firms. The ideal candidate must be a **Certified Public Accountant (CPA)** with an in-depth understanding of taxation, including corporate, partnership, and individual tax compliance. This role demands a deep knowledge of complex tax issues and the ability to manage a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from small businesses to large enterprises.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Prepare, review, and file federal, state, and local tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals.
- Conduct tax planning and research to minimize tax liability and ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Provide strategic tax advisory services to clients, identifying tax-saving opportunities and ensuring optimal tax positions.
- Review financial statements and ensure that tax-related items are accurately reported.
- Manage and coordinate tax audits, respond to inquiries, and represent clients before tax authorities.
- Stay updated with current tax laws, regulations, and best practices to maintain compliance.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop junior tax staff, providing training and guidance as needed.
- Collaborate closely with clients, building and maintaining long-term relationships to understand their business needs and objectives.
- Assist in business development by identifying new service opportunities within the client portfolio.
**Qualifications**:
- **Certified Public Accountant (CPA)** license is required.
- 8-15 years of progressive experience in tax accounting, with a combination of experience in both large and small public accounting firms.
- Proven expertise in tax compliance, tax planning, and tax research.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues to clients in a clear and concise manner.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience in handling complex tax issues for diverse industries.
- Master's degree in Taxation or related field.
- Proven track record of managing a book of business and driving client satisfaction.
