We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our team. Responsibilities:
- Review and prepare tax returns for C and S corporations, partnerships, and individuals, with revenue ranging from start-ups to $1 billion.
- Prepare and review tax provisions and conduct detailed reviews of work papers and tax returns prepared by team members.
- Research complex tax issues, providing clear findings and actionable recommendations.
- Manage workflow and ensure adherence to all tax deadlines.
- Deliver precise tax planning services and serve as the primary contact for clients on complex tax matters.
- Engage with clients to provide exceptional service, manage expectations, and identify opportunities for business development.
- Supervise associates and senior associates, providing coaching and mentorship.
- Lead training sessions on software tools and deliver external CPE training annually.
- Offer constructive feedback and oversee performance evaluations for team members.
- Collaborate on firm administration and marketing initiatives as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with firm regulations and quality control guidelines.
Qualifications:
- CPA certification required.
- Over 7 years of tax experience in a large local, regional, or national firm.
- Proven supervisory experience, with the ability to effectively delegate and manage workloads.
- Strong analytical, research, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in ProSystem Fx, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience leading and developing tax professionals.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong accounting skills and a Masters degree in Taxation (preferred).
