We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join our fun, innovative, and established CPA firm. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the tax planning, compliance, and strategy for clients within the construction industry. Responsibilities
The Permanent Tax Manager will be responsible for the following
- Overseeing all tax returns for construction clients
- Coordinating and managing the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Developing and implementing tax strategies to minimize tax liability and maximize cash flow.
- Providing expert guidance on tax laws and regulations, including the impact of changes in tax laws on the company's operations.
- Managing tax audits and inquiries, including negotiating with tax authorities.
- Collaborating with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and budgeting.
- Advising on tax implications of business decisions and transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory authorities.
- Keeping abreast of industry trends and developments in tax law and accounting practices.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is required
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management, with a focus on construction tax.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, particularly as they apply to the construction industry.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax information and make informed decisions.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly and effectively.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in tax software and other relevant computer applications.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
- Strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
