Tax Manager
A well-established private equity firm based in Boston is seeking a Tax Manager to support their in-house tax operations. This position will report to the Head of Finance and the Chief Administrative Officer, and be responsible for the ownership of all aspects of management and reporting, demonstrating a strong knowledge of partnership taxation. This is a hybrid in-office position and the firm is looking to pay up to $140k on a base, plus bonus.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Manage and oversee the tax compliance process over the firm’s primary funds along with co-invest and structuring vehicles.

Perform estimated and final K-1 reporting, extensions and returns, notice review and tax payment processes,

Manage and oversee the tax compliance for all of the firm’s GP entities and management company.

Provide internal estimates throughout the year for planning and forecasting purposes for funds, GPs and the management company.

Potential to assist in general compliance, operations, and legal aspects of the firm
Qualifications:

4-6 years of relevant experience with a CPA earned

Combination of “Big 4” experience and industry partnership taxation preferred

Strong foundation Partnership taxation, including SALT and international (limited), and tax accounting allocations, along with basis tracking.

Some existing experience in legal structuring along with compliance and operations is a plus

Strong verbal and written communication skills and an ability to demonstrate attention to detail
