Responsibilities

As a Permanent Tax Director, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to

• Leading the strategic direction of the company's tax planning and compliance functions.
• Overseeing the preparation and review of all tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Developing and implementing tax strategies that maximize profits while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Advising on tax implications of business decisions and potential acquisitions.
• Identifying and mitigating tax risks and liabilities.
• Managing and mentoring a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Staying abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring the company is prepared for any potential impacts.
• Working closely with other departments to provide tax-related advice and guidance.
• Leveraging expertise in the renewables sector and tax credit to drive business growth and profitability.
  
  

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Tax Director position should possess the following qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or CPA is highly preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax leadership role, preferably within the energy or renewables sector.
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Proven experience with tax credit and other incentives in the renewables sector.
• Exceptional leadership skills, with a track record of developing and leading high-performing teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
• Proficiency in tax software and other relevant technology.
• A commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of changes in the tax landscape.
