Role Description
We are currently seeking a Tax Accountant Supervisor/Manager to join our team. If you’re a career-oriented CPA with at least five to seven years of tax accounting experience in a public accounting firm, this is an excellent opportunity in our Tax Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax return review and preparation, including individual, corporate, partnership, as well as mentoring and training staff. Experience with multi-state tax returns and advanced tax research skills are highly desirable. A passion for mentoring and developing staff is essential.
Position Requirements:
· CPA with 5-7 years of tax accounting experience with public accounting firm
· Experience reviewing and preparing 1040, corporate, partnership returns, and multistate returns.
· Strong tax research skills.
· Experience with Thompson Reuters (UltraTax CS) and WorkPaper CS is a plus
· Strong Excel skills
· Willingness and ability to train and mentor staff required
· Strong work ethic, effective problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
· Outstanding communication and interpersonal client relations skills
· Great attitude and a willingness to do whatever it takes to deliver excellent client service
· Ability to work tax season hours between January and April 15th including some weekends
· Experience working within a small business
