Job Overview
The Talent Development Manager plays a pivotal role in nurturing a high-performance culture that prioritizes both personal and professional growth, as well as inclusive leadership excellence. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer (CPO), this role will serve as a key ambassador, advocate, and support system for talent and training solutions across our organization.The Talent Development Manager will collaborate closely with business leaders to gain a deep understanding of our business objectives. Responsibilities will include crafting career pathway tools with well-defined steps for growth, identifying, developing, and delivering talent management and training solutions while fostering a performance culture that encourages both talent growth and organizational health.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- In partnership with the Chief People Officer, establish a vision and plan for ETE’s talent development strategy and drive the implementation of that strategy.
- Design and influence a full suite of development experiences to strengthen business and individual capability and performance.
- Manage existing and establish new programs to reinforce strong performance and potential and support our talent development and learning initiatives, including the development of programs and content to help support our leaders, managers, and employees in many aspects of leadership development, job performance, and professional skills.
- Lead the performance management cycle, including goal setting, check-ins, and year-end review training. Partner to go live on new UKG performance framework.
- Identify content and deliver programs for new and experienced people leaders to provide them with management fundamentals, including supervisors and leads.
- Perform analyses and identify metrics to track Talent Development, succession planning, training, and other Talent Development outcomes.
- Identify, oversee, and assess the effectiveness of vendor relationships to ensure programs and services meet our needs and objectives.
- Able to build on existing programs such as talent reviews and succession planning as well as introducing talent assessments, and identifying top/emerging talent and retention strategies.
- Lead and oversee core programs: orientation, onboarding, and leadership training.
- Drive personalized coaching, specialized leadership programs, and talent-building initiatives.
- Collaborate extensively with human resources/people teams, managers, and leaders.
- Establish and refine KPIs and talent metrics for continuous program enhancement.
- Manage vendor relationships, and budgets, and contribute significantly to strategies.
- Partner with Academy leadership to drive vision and design including onboarding, skilling, and reskilling efforts.
- Works closely with Engagement lead to drive retention and engagement efforts.
- Bachelor’s degree required. Prefer if the degree is in Human Resources, Organizational Design, or Talent.
- A minimum of 7 years of related experience in talent development, organizational design, and training is required. Experience in manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively address and engage all levels within the organization, and communicate and articulate clear, effective messages that enhance and promote the vision, mission, values, business goals, and objectives of the company.
- Knowledge of and experience with Talent Development, Learning/Training Management, and Performance Management Systems.
- Demonstrates solid execution and project management skills. Has the ability to prioritize and work effectively in a fast-paced environment that is subject to changing priorities and short deadlines.
- Track record for driving engagement, cultural change, and influencing organizations through communications.
- Highly collaborative with strong interpersonal skills to successfully work across the organization.
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
- Multi-lingual skills are highly desirable - Spanish language preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, SharePoint and Work).
