RIGHTECH is a leading nationwide provider of technical staffing services.
We are working with a federal integrator who is seeking 10 TS/SCI full scope poly Cable Technicians for full-time roles at Ft. Meade in MD.
Responsibilities:

Installs, maintains and repairs voice and data communications systems
Cable rough-in
Pull, Dress, terminate and test CAT6 and fiber optic cabling.
Well versed in the use of network cabling test equipment including network testers, copper cable testers, fiber OTDRs and fiber power meters.
Documents network by labeling and routing equipment and cables; recording configuration diagrams and specifications
Maintains network by troubleshooting and repairing outages; testing network back-up procedures; updating documentation
Identify, track and remove abandoned cable, and keep cable neatly tied and bundled while maintaining safety standards
Knowledgeable of fiber terminations
Experience with drop downs through the walls

Qualifications:

Must be willing to work on ladders and get into ceilings to pull cable
Must have own means of reliable transportation
Familiarity with copper & fiber optic cable
Must have an Active DoD TS/SCI Full Scope Poly Security Clearance

Experience:

3+ years of related telecommunications experience
Technical Skills: Must be familiar with BICSI rules, regulations, and standards.

Candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively to personnel of various expertise levels; Solid Customer Support Skills in a high visibility environment; Problem analysis and problem solving; Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work with power tools and ladders
Ability to work well with others and communicate with supervisors
Computer literate with basic Networking Skills
