Summary:

Responsible for coordinating thepatient check in/outprocessand/oradministering certain clinical and patient services and for performing administrativeduties in support of physician staff and operations.Communicates andperforms patient follow-up asnecessary.Mayperform other clerical duties related to patient care
Responsible forscheduling appointments forNewborn Follow Upclinics.Reschedules missed appointments. Completes reminder/confirmationcalls.Ensures appointment reminders aresuccessfully sent. Verifies clinic schedule and fills any open appointment slots.Assists with No Show process.
Provides back-up support for Clinical Program Coordinator II. Completes Medicaid referrals and authorizations. Requests outside documentssuch as Medicaid referrals/authorizations and NICU discharge summaries.Follows up on requests andscans into patient record. Answers multiple phone lines, listens to/clears voice mails, routes incoming calls to appropriatestaffand enters patient callsinto Epic.Responsiblefor checkingOnBase. Reviews RightFaxand incoming faxes.Scansappropriatedocumentationintopatientcharts.TranscribesordersintoEpic.
Workswithclinicalstaff,registrationandtriagestaffandotherofficestaffasneededaswellasoutsidefacilitiestoobtainmedicalrecorddocuments. Coordinates aftercareand followup (return appointments) asdirected by providers.Assists withpatient flowthroughout clinic visit; check-in/checkout,answeringphoneanddoor, welcomes familiesintoclinic,updatesclinictrackerboard,assistspatientswithCHADISscreenson 1Pads,entersCHADISresultsintopatient note, providesReachOutandReadbookstopatients, printsAfterVisitSummariesat patientdischarge, scansclinicdocumentsintopatientchart.
Ensures thepatientrsquo;s family receives CHADIS pre-visit questionnaires,new patient paperwork, MyChart,andotherdocumentationneededfora successfulvisit.Assistsfamilieswithresources/servicesforpatientswithautism.
Ensuresclinicsarestockedwithappropriateformsandinformation/handoutsfor patientsandparents,asrequested.Requestssupplyorders andsubmitsmaintenancerequeststoappropriatepersonnel.Performsother administrativefunctionssuchastypingcorrespondence,editingforms,andfiling.Disinfectsandsanitizesclinicareabeforeandaftereachpatient.Verifiesroomsareclean,straightensoutpullpaperfortables,and makescertain there is an adequate number of chairs.
Maintainshandouts/formssuchas consents, billing sheets,andquestionnaires for clinic providers.
Salary Range: %2416.00 - %2423.00
Bachelor's degree in a related field and one (1) year of related experience required. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE.
