EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT I

The Department of Emergency Medicine is in need of an Executive Assistant to support the growing administrative duties of the Chair and the Executive Administrator as they move closer to the department's expansion in the ER areas. This role will primarily provide executive-level support for the Chair (75%) and secondarily support the Executive Administrator (25%). The role is comprised of the following, but not limited to: Maintain Chair's calendar and meeting requests. Prepare all material items for the Chair for meetings on a weekly basis Route items for Chair approval/signatures. Develop and maintain an organization system for the Chair's documentation. Organize annual faculty evaluations. Assist with the coordination of special projects and department events. Maintain Executive Committee agenda and take minutes at Executive Committee meetings. Manage Executive Administrator's calendar and meeting requests.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Under minimal supervision, provides diverse, complex and often confidential administrative and support services to an executive.
- Work requires independent judgment and initiative on assignments that are sensitive in nature and demonstrated ability to deal with high level contacts inside and outside the institution.
- May perform special assignments such as researching information, compiling reports and summarizing incoming correspondence and publications.
- May handle human resources related duties, general office management and supervise support staff.
- May coordinate special projects.
- Requires knowledge of organization policy and procedure and a high level of technical skill.
- May monitor financial, budgetary and personnel processes.
- May be responsible for event planning.

- Meet preferred; Health/Science, Business, Healthcare Administration related
Salary Range:%2447,665 - %2477,455
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- And two (2) years of related experience required.
- Or An Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education And/or Experience.
