Our Client is an IT Managed Services Provider that brings 35 years of industry experience to the table. They design, build, and maintain best-of-breed systems, including networks, security, data center, wireless, cloud, audiovisual, and managed solutions. They leverage technology to improve business outcomes. Their main customers in the Greater Los Angeles and San Diego areas include many local area hospitals, military bases, ports, and various schools. Many of their upcoming projects will revolve around the 2026 FIFA World Cup and 2028 Olympics. They are preparing SoCal to be a fully digital and connected city.
Description of Work to be Done:
The Systems Engineer III is responsible for assisting in designing and implement the Clients Enterprise System Infrastructure, resolving advanced support issues, and assisting the Shift Based System Engineers. They will also support in implementing the security teams requirements for Windows/Linux OS, VMware vSphere and other Clients Specific Systems.

Position Duties & Responsibilities:
• Installing and configuring Server Hardware
• Collaborate with the Security Team to create and implement Operating System, VMware vSphere security measures.
• Assist and Support the Shift Based System Engineers.
• Manage and resolve helpdesk tickets related to the Clients Servers, Workstations, and other Clients Specific Systems.
• Conduct regular reviews of documentation and processes ensuring all documentation is current.
• Ensure the overall Health of the Servers, Workstations and other Clients Specific Systems using the Clients Tools.
• Coordinate with the Clients IT department to develop processes and possible IT solutions to enhance the overall performance of the terminal.
• Strong communication skills in the English language, with the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical personnel in high-stress situations. Previous client facing support/experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a self-directed manner on multiple tasks or projects, with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• High level of professionalism, particularly working with and assisting clients with technical questions and issues.
• Ability to produce and maintain documentation of information security systems using a variety of tools (i.e. Microsoft Word, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft SharePoint, etc.)
• Must meet all requirements to obtain a Federal Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC)
Top Skills
- 5+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer
- Hands-On experience with Azure, O365, and VMWare
- MUST have an active Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification (or other Azure Expert level certification) & VMWare cert.
