About the Job
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Systems Engineering tasks, including:
- Requirements review and tracking
- Interface design
- Test definition, and qualification
- Perform technical lead tasks:
- Coordinating design efforts
- Conducting design reviews
- Releasing drawings
- Organizing and tracking of system configuration and changes
- Coordinate the development of the test programs including procedures, test equipment, and reporting.
- Successful candidate will have and must be proficient with Microsoft Office
- Strong knowledge of embedded computing hardware, including PowerPC Graphics, Comms and I/O and DSP applications
- Prepare and present customer presentations, and participate in face to face customer discussions and negotiations regarding complex technologies
- Develop technical solutions derived from technology building blocks
- Use project scheduling tools to estimate the total cost of a development program
- Strong communication skills
- Manage technical sub-contracts
- Independent worker who can operate in a small company environment
- Lead special Research & Development project activities or investigations within the embedded computing market.
- Coordinate activities of engineers within the Engineering Department and/or across Aitech programs and projects
- Manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous activities
- Be responsible for working on 3 critical systems projects they have going on
- Be responsible for programs that are going through system integration phase and all the way through the requirements compliance phase
- Must have trade studies experience
- Must be able to have different types of analysis for compliance like thermal analysis and electrical analysis
- Must have integration testing experience and trouble shooting experience
- Must be able to support ATP’s
- Plus if they have an EE background along with board level, circuit design, and component level experience
Recommended Experience:
BS and 10+ years experience Experience with mil-spec programs
Recommended Education:
BS EE Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (and/or equivalent experience) with MS desired
Plus if they have aerospace and/or an avionics degree
Special Requirements:
Position requires an engineer with a diverse background in electronic circuit design for embedded computer system development.
Must be a U.S. citizen or be authorized to work in the United States
