The salary range for this role is intended as a good faith estimate based on the role's location, expectations, and responsibilities. Job Description Enlighten is looking for a skilled Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will leverage model-based methodologies to design, analyze, and optimize complex systems across various domains. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, create system architectures, and develop models that enhance system performance and reliability. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in systems engineering principles, as well as experience with modeling tools and techniques. Work is mostly on-site in San Antonio, TX, but will provide some remote work too. #LI-KB2 #Mid-Senior Level Essential Job Responsibilities * Develop and extend system models using existing requirements, interface documentation, and related design and systems engineering documents
* Provide MBSE/Systems Modeling Language (SysML) expertise and related support to the entire systems engineering team
* Work collaboratively in a digital engineering environment, integrating data from across systems engineering disciplines into a cohesive system model
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define system requirements and specifications.
* Conduct system analysis and simulations to validate design concepts and performance.
* Ensure integration of model-based approaches into the engineering lifecycle.
* Additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications * Security Clearance: A current TS/SCI level U.S. Government Security Clearance is required; U.S. Citizenship required. * 9+ years of experience with systems engineering with data/systems modeling and a Bachelors in related field or 7 years experience with Masters; or High School Diploma and 13 years experience. * Experience with DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF). Proficient in creating and utilizing Views to support defense-related projects.
* Understanding of enterprise architecture principles and frameworks to drive strategic alignment and system integration.
* Adept at engaging with IT subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather insights and seamlessly incorporate them into architectural plans.
* Proven experience in developing and documenting systems of systems using Unified Modeling Language (UML) or Systems Modeling Language (SysML).
* Experience in model-based systems engineering tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw, Rhapsody, or similar model generating tools.
* Exceptional ability to articulate complex concepts and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
* Willingness to work on-site in San Antonio, TX, approximately 75% of the time, with some remote work options available. Flexibility is essential to adapt to schedule changes as needed.
