About the Job
- Define, design and develop the system architecture at component and sub-component level for automotive electrification solutions including energy storage, power management (BMS, Inverters, Converter) and charging systems from prototyping to production.
- Develop clean slate functional architecture that incorporates multiple electrification sub-systems based on use cases and activity diagrams.
- Lead the development solutions for EV systems including hardware and software development, systems integration, testing, and validation.
- Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to develop solutions for Battery testing, high-voltage power inverters testing and validation to meet safety, compliance and performance requirements.
- Establish, update and maintain traceability between compliance or regulatory requirements, systems requirements, customer requirements and design accordingly.
- Create, support and develop statement of work (SOW), define overall systems scope in the context of internal and external requirements, systems Interface document.
- Support Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Information (RFI) or Request for quotes (RFQ) as needed to OEM/Tier1 and industry partners and suppliers.
- Work in collaboration with OEM/Tier1 and suppliers during development and validation to ensure performance, test, and/or design requirements are being met.
- Create comprehensive technical reports and proposals; prepare for and present at formal architectural reviews.
- Investigate, benchmark and profile electrification technologies for cost-effective concepts.
- Work with delivery teams to investigate and respond corrective action to production, supplier or field issues.
- Support prototype builds, create systems integration and test plans, execute tests and create test reports to validate designs, mitigate risks and/or troubleshoot problems.
- Assistance with other related tasks as needed and determined by management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in automotive engineering or a related field with demonstrated hands on experience in electric vehicle propulsion, controls and charging systems.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in developing systems methodologies such as Sys-ML, System architecture interface, flow diagrams, use cases, connectivity to HV/LV in compliance with ISO-26262 and ASPICE.
- Deep understanding of electric vehicle technologies, including batteries, power electronics, and charging systems.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
