The SAP SCM Applications Analyst is responsible for assessment, implementation, support and maintenance for SAP Supply Chain Management modules and other applications used by the SCM business team. Serves as primary SCM liaison and collaborates with business users to understand and support day to day business needs, analyze and evaluate IT solutions, and drive enhancements that that generate business value.
Essential Duties:
- Provide application support for production systems; Triage and troubleshoot complex user issues, debug and resolve problems.
- Work closely with the SCM team to understand their business processes, suggest improvement opportunities, and identify technology solutions to address business needs.
- Lead meetings to gather and document requirements, recommend and design system changes and enhancements.
- Assess, test, and coordinate deployment of software upgrades to supported applications.
- Implement application configuration changes.
- Document functional specifications for application changes and coordinate solution development with other internal teams.
- Plan, document, and perform functional testing – unit, integration, and regression.
- Prepare user documentation and training material, and participate in training delivery where appropriate.
- Assist with application disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Support and adhere to departmental standards, processes, and procedures.
- Maintain up to date skill level and knowledge of industry directions.
- Use detailed product knowledge to design and deliver high quality and well architected solutions.
- Build personal expertise to reduce reliance on outside resources for support.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years SAP SCM application support experience
Familiarity with S/4HANA and/or ERP 6, MRP, SAP Workflow (SWIA/SWI5), IDOC Segment Mapping Knowledge (850/855/856), SCM/MM Security, LSMW Creation or MM Configuration required!
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Broad knowledge of SAP and supply chain processes
- Proficiency in SAP application, SAP tools, application testing tools and Microsoft Office.
- Superior analytical, decision making, problem solving, and technical skills.
- Strong business and data analysis skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work with development teams to facilitate technical delivery.
- Ability to write business requirements and detailed functional specifications.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Perform sedentary work- exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
- See, hear, talk, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
- Operate standard office equipment.
- Occasional project-related travel is required.
