Maximus is currently looking for a remote Systems Analyst - Data Visualization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify gaps in project and systems performance management processes.
- Create process documentation and training materials.
- Conduct reviews of data derived from project and systems performance management processes and summarize findings.
- Perform quality audit of work products delivered by team members and service providers.
- Create reports used to evaluate trends to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze data and report on issues and challenges related to the effective execution of project and performance management processes.
- Maintain knowledge library and documentation of system operation procedures.
- Conduct meetings and interviews with customers (internal and external) and team members to elicit business requirements and set achievable expectations.
- Analyze system data and performance reports to support identification of trends and business impact.
- Analyze information related to systems management activities (estimates, resources, time logs, risks, change requests, and schedules), and prepare actionable recommendations to support business objectives.
- Interact with all levels within the organization, develop working relationships with management, staff, stakeholders, and partners.
- Participate in client meetings to address needs of project stakeholders.
- Seek opportunities to add value to internal and external client initiatives.
- Manage the activities of the project in accordance with MAXIMUS established policies and procedures.
- Recommend changes to policies and establishes procedures.
The 6 month time in position rule can be waived for CCO employees under the following circumstances: employees who were in an acting role and have returned to their home base position, employees who are currently in an acting/limited-service role applying to the same role that is RFT, employees who were unable to return to a homebase position at the end of their acting role, or limited-service employees that are unable to secure a lateral or promotional position for continued employment at the end of their limited assignment.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience.
- May have additional training or education in area of specialization.
- Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope & complexity.
- General application of concepts & principles.
- Contributes to the completion of organizational projects & goals.
- Frequent use and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards.
- Applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
- Communicates on complex or sensitive issues or drafts such responses for supervisor or manager.
- Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience in data visualization, requirement and data analysis, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor's degree can be waived in lieu of applicable experience
- Solid background in data visualization principles.
- Passion for storytelling using data.
- Solid experience developing solutions using BI tools such as Power BI (strongly preferred) and Tableau.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction and also in a collaborative team setting juggling multiple priorities in a changing environment.
- Experience working with other Office365 offerings such as Power Automate and Power Apps.
- Experience with multiple SDLC methodologies.
- Experience working directly with customers, translating business requirements into design and solution architecture and development.
- Design visualizations, presentations, and dashboards for various analytics and reporting solutions.
- Improve user experience for new and existing analytic solutions by analyzing business needs, researching business problems, interviewing stakeholders, and end users, and applying other best practice methods in support of user-centered design principles.
- Create dashboards, reports and other BI presentation for prototype, demo and/or production usage.
- Participate in iterative design sessions, conduct demos, and work directly with end users to ensure business needs are efficiently addressed by the solution.
- Develop requirements into design documentation and proof-of-concept design.
- Develop functional specifications for visualization in production.
- Perform requirements analysis and impact assessments.
- Publish and maintain analytic design standards, style guide, and design process documentation.
This position is fully remote and requires a home office.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards.
