Systems Administrator - TEKsystems

Description

Responsible for the implementation, management, and maintenance of the university's virtualized server infrastructure, including VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V environments.

Collaborate with vendors to ensure the reliability and performance of critical campus applications and infrastructure, such as Active Directory.

Possess experience in virtualized server implementation and management, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.

Demonstrate proficiency in both VMware and Hyper-V technologies, as the university is considering a shift to Microsoft Hyper-V.

Provide support and assistance to the IT team, ensuring seamless integration and collaboration.

Ability to work on-site during normal business hours (8 am to 4 pm) to facilitate user and vendor interactions.

Adaptable to the university's cloud-first strategy, with the potential to assist in the assessment and implementation of cloud infrastructure, such as Microsoft Azure.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently to resolve complex technical issues.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
