Systems Administrator - Affinity Federal Credit Union

The Systems Administrator is responsible for operation, maintenance and support of the computer systems hardware, operating system and utility software. Responsible for analyzing, scheduling and record retention needs of business units. Works with Systems Support Manager in managing the Nautilus system hardware and software. Manages the relationship between the core financial software documents and Nautilus archiving system.

This role will require shift work 4pm-12am and be on call once a month for weekend support. 100% remote candidates will be considered.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible with all computer and peripheral machine operations, data entry, scheduling, report generation and distribution.
• Participates in the diagnosis and resolution of hardware and production problems.
• Assist in setting all aspects of computer production schedules including additions to the daily, weekly, monthly and annual job processing schedules.
• Maintain and edit enterprise job schedules.
• Ensure that appropriate documentation is developed and maintained.
• Review and maintain operational procedures in conjunction with Systems Support Manager.
• Recommend appropriate modifications and enhancements for hardware, software and related procedures.
• Ensure the security for all of the production systems.
• Recognizes and recommends potential areas where existing priorities, policies and procedures require change, where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion.
• Be familiar with all computer and peripheral machine operations with regards to the Nautilus archival system, including operations and procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated cases from the IT Help Desk.
• Works directly with business units in the development of Nautilus database design in regard to system conversions.
• Tests and maintains Nautilus database.
• Requires 24-hour/ 365-day responsibility and must be reachable by cell phone.

• All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree required with 5 plus years of related experience required or 3 years of additional related work experience in place of a degree. 2 years in a managerial capacity preferred.

• Five to seven years of associate’s hardware, operating system and telecommunications network experience.
• May be required to work extended hours, including weekends.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
