About the Job
Responsibilities:
The Systems Engineer for TeamDynamix will work within Client's User Support/IT Service organization to drive the continuous configuration, improvement, and maturation of our enterprise IT Service Management (ITSM) platform (TeamDynamix, or TDX for short), implemented in May
2020. This platform is used systemwide by technologists across our distributed IT management function for the ticket management, tracking, and delivery of IT services systemwide. This work will involve configuration and integrations using a low-code configuration and development
platform, building and configuring capability following defined requirements.
Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with the TDX Product Owner and team to:
Deliver efficient solutions using the TeamDynamix (TDX) platform: analyze business,
systems, and workflow processes and implement using the TeamDynamix APIs,
integrations, configuration panels, and other development tools
Design, implement, and execute test and QA plans
Review all deliverables for quality assurance and compliance with University policies,
security policy and controls, and architecture standards
Provide ongoing maintenance of delivered functionality as needed
Troubleshoot production, configuration, or platform issues, and evaluate and follow through
on issues and problems until resolved or escalated
Areas of focus:
IT Asset Management
(ITSM/ITAM/TDX, iPaaS/Boomi (cloud based integration), Window servers, SSMS, xml
configuration files, executable files)
Extend capabilities for the accurate tracking and auditing of University hardware
and software assets, potentially involving integrations with external systems or
tools.
Server administration and network security upgrade and maintenance
Log error detection and resolution
IT Service Management
(ITSM/ITAM/TDX, iPaaS/Boomi (cloud based integration)
Advance functionality to mature service request forms and workflows resulting in
improved business processes and better user experience
Extend capabilities for automation in appropriate areas
Relationship management & requirement gathering
Core integrations for the TDX platform
(SQL, ITSM/ITAM/TDX, iPaaS/Boomi (cloud based integration), JAMF, MEMCM, Window
servers, SSMS, xml configuration files, executable files)
Data Management - Incorporating data into vendor systems
Data job automation
Microsoft SCCM/MEMCM for Windows endpoint management
JAMF for Apple endpoint management
API & core automation work
Enterprise systems
BeyondTrust/Bomgar
E-Commerce for hardware and software
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of related experience or a comparable combination
of education, training, and/or experience in the areas of no/low-code development, iPaaS,
APIs and integrations
Exposure to ITIL or other frameworks for IT Service Management
Exposure to working in an ITSM tool for things such as Incident, Major Incident, Problem,
Knowledge, or Request
Ability to keep abreast of technology/industry trends and quickly learn new tools
Ability to communicate well, and contribute to a collaborative environment and work with
cross-functional teams
Productivity and performance focus
Problem-solving skills and solution-oriented attitude
Preferred Qualifications (please document on resume, if applicable):
Experience writing scripts in languages such as SQL, Python, Powershell, or JavaScript
Ability to assess requirements and decide how to deliver value using no/low-code
techniques
Familiarity with iPaaS platforms such as Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, or TDX iPaaS
Familiarity with pre-built templates, drag-and-drop visual interfaces, entity builder
Experience conducting needs analysis for ITSM tool configuration
Exposure to working within an Agile environment
