ActioNet has a open opportunity for a skilled System Engineer in the San Antonio, TX area. The focus of this initiative is to improve IT practices and mechanisms , ensuring consistent and reliable support for end users without disrupting local operation .
ActioNet is an IT service provider and solutions integrator headquartered in Vienna, VA that works with the Federal Government and Department of Defense.
- Team lead on projects coordinating efforts of other technical personnel.
- Oversee design, install, configuration, troubleshooting, and system maintenance.
- Oversee operating system, application, security and virus software and patches.
- Update and document information and solutions for service request and tasks.
- Analyze, define requirements, design capabilities, and manage projects.
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve problems, questions and situations.
- Document initial contact, problem definition, resolution, and final disposition.
- Ensure rapid response, troubleshooting, and maintenance to maximize uptime.
- Provide standard operating procedures, designs, and security artifacts.
- Promote configuration and troubleshooting procedures to support availability.
- Use Active Directory to support user account creation, access, and maintenance.
- Maintain asset inventory system for adds, moves, or configuration changes.
- Use military hand receipt practices to maintain asset accountability.
- Identify requirements, perform surveys, resolve issues, and track work orders.
- Develop project work order bill of materials of equipment, cost and purchases.
- Maintain vendor relationship to stay current with new technologies.
- Provide documented backup and disaster recovery, and continuity of operations.
- Identify requirements and provide solutions to improve services and systems.
- Develop and present briefings for stakeholders, analysts, and senior management.
- Support team daily operations, requests, timekeeping, and monthly reporting.
Database, Application, and Web Development:
- Oversee databases, architectures, and provide documentation.
- Oversee coding user interfaces, correcting problems; and change deployments.
- Prepare feasibility studies for potential system changes or modifications.
- Sustain clinical and administrative systems to organize, store, and retrieve data.
- Ensure control measures to prevent unauthorized access.
- Analyze, translate requirements, design, code, test, and document programs.
- Evaluate alternatives and plans to extract and reformulate data to new formats.
- Support web and SharePoint environments for content changes and development.
- Ensure Power Apps in Microsoft365 environment to create applications.
- Collect requirements, design positive user experience and compliant systems.
- Oversee configuring graphics, menus, drop downs, workflows, and integrations.
- Ensure security and adherence to HIPAA regulations with no patient information.
Citrix XenApp Infrastructure:
- Design and configure Citrix XenApp, VMWare and User Profile Management.
- Collaborate with engineers and system administration of Windows environment.
- Design Citrix XenApp, StoreFront, Access Gateway, and Netscaler solutions.
Server, Storage Area Network (SAN):
- Maintain and support SAN Microsoft operating systems, storage, and services.
- Support virtual server consolidation, design, and implementation.
- Maintain and implement data backup, restore, and disaster recovery.
- Provide input and consultation on system and server communication issues.
- Provide recommendations, surveys, procedures, checklists, and standards on command files, source code, object files, libraries, images, and system files.
Database Development:
- Technical guidance to Enhanced Multi-Service Market Offices, Medical Treatment Facilities, Business Operation Division and Managed Care Support.
- Maintain business case analysis tools to standardize data collection/analysis.
- Maintain code library for naming, dictionary, field size, relationship, and quality.
- Install, configure, optimize database engines, transfer tools, and integrity checks.
Identity Management and Desktop Support:
- Document escalations received during on-call, on weekends and holidays.
- Oversee Active Directory user account administration.
- Present proposed standard and non-standard field system modifications.
- Lead on-site and remote system deployment, refresh and maintenance.
Network Operations:
- Support local area, wireless, and wide area network to resolve issues.
- Measure ongoing network performance, bandwidth, redundancy and connectivity.
- Install, configure, upgrade and replace network hosts, software and equipment.
- Ensure network authentication by 802.1X authentication systems.
- Support surveys to identify access point placement and source of interference.
- Connect network hosts to wireless network for deployments and testing.
- Suggest and design new network solutions and coordinate network authentication.
- Oversee tasks, install, organization, labeling, testing and maintenance of cabling.
- Ensure optimization of common network, TCP/IP and wireless protocols.
- Gather voice data requirements, perform surveys, track cable and network work.
- Ensure Optical Fiber Cabling Components compliance with standards.
- Ensure physical preparation and install of conduit and fire stop materials.
Telecommunications:
- Maintain telephony, automated call distribution, nurse call, pagers, public address, smart phones, audio visual, video teleconference, digital signage, video streaming, television, cabling infrastructure, and conference room scheduling.
- Assist Telephone Control Officer with planning, billing and training.
- Research work logs, jack numbers, phone type, room numbers, and user types.
- Provide solutions to improve call flow process and access to care.
- Coordinate and track circuit management through telephone service providers.
- Maintain telephone location database in support of security office “E911” system.
- Ensure administration of automated call trees, processes and agent assets.
- Ensure administration of nurse call, wireless messaging servers and appliances.
- Ensure administration of digital signage and video streaming services.
- Design and engineer conference rooms, class and training rooms, and equipment.
- Maintain endpoints, equipment and scheduling for 200 classroom assets.
- Support conferences, symposiums, commands changes, promotions, and events.
- Operate, test and monitor VTC equipment, performance and conference support.
- Support Vocera System and Badges wireless communication system to improve patient care, staff productivity, and operational efficiency in healthcare settings.
- Design call flows to address workflows of wards and medical functions.
- Interaction with wards and departments ensuring workflow and medical functions.
- Manage phone numbers, device and disposition status, and account information.
- 15 years of experience architecting, deploying, and managing enterprise Windows Server and Virtualization solutions from planning to sustainment in military healthcare systems.
- Advanced experience in enterprise design and deployment of Windows Server Operating Systems, Storage Area Networks, VMware, Citrix, Internet Information Services, Microsoft SQL Server, Active Directory Domain Services, and Azure.
- Advanced experience implementing and sustaining security solutions of Security Technical Implementation Guides, Microsoft Group Policy, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution, Risk Management Framework, Splunk, and Trellix Security.
Certifications (Required):
- Citrix Certified Advanced Administrator (CCAA)
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
- CompTIA Security+ and Network+
- Implementing and Advanced Administration for Citrix XenApp for Windows Server
- VMware vSphere: Install, Configure, and Manage
