SOUTHCOAST HEALTH IS LOOKING FOR A FULL-TIME SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR TIER II
Under general direction responsible for troubleshooting system issues, installing new software, deploying hardware, training users, offering tips for increased productivity, automating workflow tasks and increasing productivity and user satisfaction using technology; installs, configures, and maintains both physical and virtual computer servers; maintains employee network, e-mail and hardware.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Skills in Network Design and Implementation, problem solving, strategic planning, multi-tasking, quality focus, coordination, technical understanding and quick study
- Skills in Network Performance Tuning
- Skills in LAN Knowledge
- Knowledge in Microsoft Windows Operating systems-Servers, Exchange and/or SQL
- Knowledge in VMWare and Storage Systems
- Knowledge in Network switches, Ethernet and Fiber networks
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform system administration and daily monitoring of systems to ensure they are configured, updated, operating and being maintained properly.
- Assist with installations and upgrades to complex, sophisticated network operating systems and servers.
- Proactively identifies, investigates and proposes resolutions to issues that could impact network systems.
- Resolves problems reported by end users for local and wide-area networks, personal computes, networking equipment (switches, routers, etc.) and provides answers or escalates issues to help answer complex questions related to these systems.
- Act as a backup to Network Support when assigned tickets (initial setup of computers, maintaining and organizing inventory, wired or wireless system issues, restore files, and other general help desk workflow as needed).
- Communicates with and assists physicians, coworkers and all staff members in a professional and courteous manner. Provides customer service to all staff members ensuring needs are met/satisfied and where possible exceeds expectations.
- Performs or assists with other tasks or projects as assigned by Supervisor.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree with emphasis in computer science, information systems, programming or equivalent in the related field preferred with five years of experience.
REQUIREMENT:
Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role with three or more years of in-depth experience with networks (LAN/ WAN), system security and patch management.
