RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Administering, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining operating system and related software
- Establishing and implementing standards for computer operations for compatibility between hardware and software, according to specifications and parameters
- Troubleshooting and resolving software, operating system, and networking problems
- Scheduling and monitoring system backups and, when necessary, performing data recoveries
- Installation of hardware, software, systems upgrades, network accounts, network security, and web page design, interface and updates, and local system design documentation
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and implement network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection services
- Training staff on software applicable to their position, assist customers with information technology, monitors system configuration (hardware and software), and provides instruction on computers and applications.
- DoD 8570 IAT II or higher certification
- Bachelor's level degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
- 7 years professional experience in systems administration
- Active Secret security clearance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products to include Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Attending mandatory, annual training sessions
- Providing regular status reports to management summarizing progress, challenges, metrics, and recommendations
- Collaborating with team members to ensure effective communication and coordination
- Attending recurring team meetings or huddles
- Assisting in the development of new initiatives
