Our practice offers all phases of dental services, including dental hygiene, general dentistry, cosmetic procedures, restorative dentistry including crown and bridge, dentures, and implants, as well as specialty services.
We are looking for someone who has a proven track record of being reliable, energetic, and enjoys making a difference in the lives of others. This person is well-presented, has excellent communication skills, is friendly, highly organized and works well with all personality types.
As the Surgical Specialty Coordinator, you will play a vital role in acting as the liaison between patients, surgical facility, and primary care physicians to make the surgical experience as smooth as possible. This is an Admin position that would coordinate: treatments, scheduling, insurance, etc for our Oral Surgeon, Endodontist & Periodontists. Candidates must have prior dental knowledge and front desk experience to be considered.
This full time position scheduled hours from Mon - Fri 8:00 - 5:00. This position comes with a salary based on experience, bonus opportunities, paid vacation, and retirement plan. We love this practice and seek someone who desires to share this experience and contribute to the team.
The hourly rate is $25.00- $28.00
Responsibilities:
• Conduct interview to understand the patient’s oral health history, concerns, and objectives
• Explain the treatment plan, address patient concerns and answer any questions
• Assist the patient in prioritizing the treatment and establish a plan for scheduling and payment
• Build trust, and understand the patient’s objectives
• Conduct financial consultations with all new patients and with existing patients when new treatment plans are presented.
• Manage and maintain the payment options and policies for patients to uphold the practice’s financial integrity.
• Understand the practice’s policy on working with dental benefit plans and be prepared to educate patients on their dental benefits.
• Bill dental insurance, post payments, and claim estimations as required.
• Oversee and track dental benefit plan accounts receivable and follow-up on claims regularly to ensure timely payment.
• Track patient accounts receivable and outstanding balances to ensure timely payment.
• Assist in Practice’s collections protocol for all outstanding balances.
• Conduct treatment consultations with all new patients and with existing patients when new treatment plans are presented.
• Perform general office duties and other duties as required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a dental office as a Treatment Plan Coordinator, preferred. Will consider someone who works in a dental office in another position.
- Experience working with various dental insurance plans
- Strong verbal and written communication skill
- Must have up to date computer skills
