POSITION SUMMARY:
The Surgical Assistant I is responsible for performing the duties of moving surgical equipment and furniture, cleaning tasks, linen supply management, schedule distribution, errands and ensuring effective communication between him or herself, the managers, the patient, peers and other staff, physicians and other hospital departments. Is a resource for simple and complex equipment room set-ups. Assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must have certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support upon hire or receive certification within the 90 Day Introductory Period and maintain clinical competency during employment with ECHN in this role.
COMPETENCIES:
- Must be able to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Basic Computer skills.
