Major Position Responsibilities:This position will be located at the new GD-OTS facility located in Mesquite, TX. This is an on-site position only.
SUMMARY: Ensuring operations are aligned to contracts and regulations through supply chain. Ensures that inventories are secure, properly identified and readily accessible to authorized personnel. Maintains controls over various types of inventories (e.g., raw materials, subassemblies, finished goods). Conducts physical inventory counts and reconciles results with inventory record. Ensures that quantities of incoming and outgoing shipments are correct. Conducts analyses of inventory levels and coordinates with production and sales requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow & stay informed of new or updated policies and procedures that ensure supply chain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
- Monitors the regulatory environment and responds to or shares to new or amended legislation.
- Conducts supply chain compliance tests or audits and reports findings to the leadership team.
- Reports and gathers information on allegations of illegal, improper, or unethical conduct by employees or company representatives.
- May update, deliver or inform others of supply chain compliance-related training sessions.
- ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES FOR MESQUITE OPERATIONS:
- This position will lead compliance for the supply chain group in Mesquite.
- Acts as main point of contact for reporting USG requirements, including but not limited to, Small Business Subcontracting goals and first-tier subcontract awards (for FFATA).
- This role will also support Government Contracts Administration
- Prepares and examine contracts.
- Enter contract data into IFS ERP.
- Ensures contracts are consistent with management's goals, policies, and procedures.
- Handles the acquisition, distribution, and store of purchases through IFS ERP.
- Assures that all clarifications and amendments of negotiations are incorporated into the final contract.
- Generates, maintains, and audits a central contract-resource file.

Education and/or Experience
- Associate's Degree
- Equivalent combination of relevant education and or experience
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree.
- 5-7 years prior experience in a relevant function.

- Additional for Mesquite Operations:
- Thorough working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other regulations related to support USG military customers.
- Exercises independent judgement with some guidance in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- CPSR requirements, contract administration principals.
Preferred for Mesquite:
- Experience with start ups, such as project planning, and establishing business processes, management systems, and work instructions is desired. This is an exciting opportunity to create the business processes, systems, and culture to stand up a high performing manufacturing operation.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
- Requires regular movement throughout the GD-OTS facilities.
- Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
Travel Requirements
- Less than 25% travel likely.
