Job Posting Summary
Seeking a Supplier Development Engineer to support continuous parts supply to NA Plants and minimize costs by engaging with suppliers and developing their production systems.
Job Requirements
- University degree required, with a preference for majors in engineering, business management, or supply chain management
- Experience in supply chain (quality and development) and/or production
- Preferably experienced in the automotive or heavy commercial truck industry in supplier quality and capacity, manufacturing engineering, supplier development, or crisis management
Preferred Skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Effective communication abilities
- Experience working in a team environment
Job Responsibilities
- Actively engage with suppliers and supply chains
- Accurately assess supplier weaknesses and provide solutions
- Monitor high-risk supplier development issues to prevent crises at NA Plants
- Drive and develop supplier problem-solving techniques for identified supplier fault issues
- Fix and develop supplier production systems and processes to prevent operational impacts
- Drive supplier operational excellence
- Set focused priorities to reach objectives
Pay Details: $31.00 to $42.00 per hour
