Job Summary and Qualifications

The Supervisor of Social Services in Case Management provides leadership for social work staff ensuring quality and integrity of care delivered.  The role will focus on discharge planning, employee retention/satisfaction, partnering with community agencies, self-pay/underinsured initiatives, re-admission initiatives, and aligning the social work staff to adhere to TJC and CMS regulations.  This is a working supervisor role where you are able to execute the job description of the social worker as well as a leadership focus.  This position will be covering our women's/children's hospital so experience is a must within those specialties.  

What You Will Do In This Role:

• Supervises daily operations and activities of social work staff
• Helps to create business plans for social work
• Participates in the recruitment, interviewing selection, orientation, development and on-going evaluation/retention of social work staff
• Promotes a supportive environment that encourages teamwork

What qualifications you will need:

• Masters Degree in Social Work from a school accredited by the Council of Social Work Education
• Current licensure by the State of TX Board of Social Work examiners through the TX Dept. of Health
• Recent working experience with assigned patient population desirable
• Hospital supervisor experience preferred
• 3 years post MSW experience preferred
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or Clinical Social Worker (MSW)
