Job Description:
The **Senior Superintendent** is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of ground-up commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale, complex builds, with the ability to maintain high standards of quality, safety, and communication throughout all phases of construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of on-site construction for ground-up commercial projects from start to finish.
- Ensure that project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met or exceeded.
- Lead, mentor, and manage on-site teams, including assistant superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and laborers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Proactively identify and resolve any construction challenges or obstacles that arise during the project.
- Coordinate inspections, manage punch lists, and ensure timely project closeout.
- Enforce strict adherence to company safety protocols and OSHA regulations, creating a safe working environment for all.
- Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and clients.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Superintendent, with at least 5 years in a Senior Superintendent role managing large-scale commercial construction projects.
- Proven track record of successfully completing ground-up projects ranging from $5M to $50M .
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, processes, and best practices.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications.
- Proficient in construction management software, scheduling tools, and project management platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions quickly.
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required.
