Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion. Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed. Communicate with project team regarding RFI’s, and Material Submittals.
- Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work.
- Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
- Identify and notify management of subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
- Hold & document weekly Tailgate/ Toolbox safety meetings with Subcontractors and employees.
- Communicate BCIs safety orientation program to all subcontractors when they start on a project and ensure that all sub-contractors use Full PPE and have required training and supervision,
- Maintain a safe work environment at all times and take corrective measure immediately when hazards are identified.
- Inform BCI Safety Director of any safety violation, accidents or hazards.
- Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution.
- Maintain daily log of activities, manpower, inspections and dumpsters on the jobsite.
- Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.
- Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.
- Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors in regard to quality of work or scheduling.
- Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
- Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.
- The Project Superintendent is solely responsible for and will be held accountable for the timely completion of the project and ensuring that the project is constructed in strict accordance with plans, specifications, and local codes.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (any additional experience a plus)
- 10+ years of commercial construction experience at a General Contractor
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent supervising project teams
- Extensive experience with commercial and industrial tenant improvements (cleanroom, lab, life science, and/or industrial/light industrial project experience strongly preferred)
- In-depth knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, manpower, etc.
- Prior experience and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR certified.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Programs and Construction Software Tools such as Procore, Contractor Foreman, and Buildertrend.
