We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Summer Cafe Cook. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food, dedicated to providing excellent customer service, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a Cafe Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of snacks, light meals, and beverages for our guests while maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, and food safety.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of snacks, light meals, and beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Ensure that all food products are fresh, properly stored, and handled safely in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the snack bar area, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
- Stock inventory and replenish supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
- Interact with customers in a friendly and courteous manner, taking orders, providing recommendations, and addressing any concerns or inquiries promptly.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, and beverage machines safely and efficiently.
- Follow established procedures for opening and closing the snack bar, including cleaning duties and cash handling responsibilities.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and excellent customer service at all times.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines, including health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred, but not required.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Willingness to adhere to food safety and sanitation standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to [specify weight] pounds.
