Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the daily operations of the substation, ensuring all activities align with company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
2. Lead the design and implementation of new electrical systems, incorporating the latest technologies and innovations.
3. Ensure compliance with NESC, RUS, Rural Utility Service, and IEEE regulations.
4. Coordinate with various teams and departments to ensure the effective operation of power systems.
5. Develop and implement strategies for the continuous improvement of substation operations.
6. Manage and supervise a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
7. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of electrical systems to prevent malfunctions and ensure optimal performance.
8. Oversee project management, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
9. Collaborate with other managers and stakeholders to identify potential improvements and implement solutions.
10. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role in the Engineering industry.
3. In-depth knowledge of NESC, RUS, Rural Utility Service, and IEEE regulations.
4. Proven experience in Power Systems and Electrical Design.
5. Strong leadership and team management skills.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.
7. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Proficiency in using modern engineering tools and software.
10. Project management skills, with the ability to oversee projects from conception to completion.
11. Strong understanding of safety regulations and industry best practices.
