Substation Control Designer
Birmingham, AL
System One is currently seeking a Substation Control Designer on a 3 year contract position located in Birmingham, AL.
Substation Control Designer Responsibilities:
Responsible for the Company’s Transmission and Distribution Substations design.
Provide engineering drawings, specifications, and material requirements for substation projects emphasizing safety, quality, scheduling, and costs.
Make safety a top priority using a safety first mentality.
Be highly productive with exceptional quality on design packages.
Providing technical expertise, and guidance for inexperienced design personnel.
Supporting Substation Field Services, Project Management, and other project stakeholders.
Coordinating and communicating with associated departments.
Supporting the Company’s design criteria and standardization effort providing support for storm restoration efforts.
Substation Control Designer Requirements:
5-7 years of related experience
An accredited bachelor’s degree in engineering technology or an associate degree.
Basic discipline knowledge.
Understanding of Control Design tools and applications (AutoCAD Electrical, TEAMS, Stomps, SCST Vault, Maximo)
Requires approximately 25% travel
Duration: 3 years
Location: Birmingham, AL
Pay Rate: $36/hr
