Job Story
Student will complete general office tasks, including, but not limited to, providing coverage for the front desk, answering multiple phone lines, making phone calls to students, moving and tracking inventory, and assisting all visitors to the office. Student may represent Student Success at various events and will be a positive and professional representative of Student Success and all units located in the Shocker Success Center.
Job Summary
A student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.
Job Duties
Greeting visitors and staff, answering phones and email, making calls to students, etc.
Moving and tracking inventory (boxes) on a regular basis.
Representing Student Success and all units within the Shocker Success Center in a professional manner at various events.
Required Education
High School diploma or equivalent. Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at Wichita State University.
Additional Requirements
Must possess exemplary communication and customer service skills and have successfully completed one semester of classes at Wichita State.

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of campus resources.
Additional Information for Posting
Must have the ability to move boxes of inventory to and from storage on a regular basis. Must have ability to drive golf cart. All work is in-person.
Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
