POSITION PURPOSE
This position is responsible for managing inactive student accounts, processing accounts payable payments, and validating outside collection sales. The Campus Inactive Student Account Advisor is also responsible for updating information in the student information system, scheduling/reviewing student payments, and other administrative tasks.
JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain, track, and report on weekly past dues/loan activities to include campus default prevention/bad debt expenses.
- Collect and process balances on past due statements.
- Monitor the campus’ recurring payments to ensure compliance.
- Initiate contact with students regarding delinquent payments and generate past due letters to students to collection hold code.
- Document payment plan schedules and all student account activities on Campus Nexus and ensure contact manager calendar on Campus Nexus are utilized and kept current.
- Perform skip tracing efforts to update student information.
- Perform exit interviews with current students during their last 5 weeks of enrollment and provide options for repayment.
- Maintain established goals for inactive student payments to ensure that the account stays off the Bad Debt report.
- Perform and complete other tasks that may be assigned by the Supervisor.
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED, or equitable on-the-job experience required
- Associate degree or higher preferred
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven, compliance-oriented educational environment.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, highly organized, and have the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
- Demonstrate a high level of integrity, strong work ethic, and professionalism
- Persuasive and effective verbal and written communication skills, with a strong focus on customer service in an educational setting.
- Highly motivated and goal-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to work independently and as collaborative team member and have exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Excellent computer skills are required with proficiency in MS Office applications including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams. CampusNexus experience a plus.
- Ability and willingness to work outside of regular work shifts, including evenings and/or weekends as necessary or as requested by Supervisor.
- Ability and willingness to travel locally and/or overnight for business purposes.
SCHEDULE (ON-SITE)
- Monday- Thursday: 9:30am - 6:30pm
- Friday: 8:30am - 5:00pm

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $22 to $24, depending on experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
