They are located in Hawthorne, NY, and are a worldwide manufacturer of leading-edge inspection equipment and an engineering solutions provider. These technologies serve the food, pharmaceutical, and medical device industries. The solutions/machines challenge seal and container integrity non-destructively in-line and offline.

A motivated, creative, and technically intelligent professional is being sought to provide programming skills for sensory technology applications. It is expected that 80% of the time you will be programming PLCs and other control systems. The client is only interested in candidates who experience satisfaction in developing robust PLC-based solutions.
Candidates must meet these minimum requirements:
- Must have legal permission to work in the U.S. and have a valid passport.
- Degree from a two-year secondary education program.
- Project management experience.
- PLC programming “from scratch” capability.
- Working with robots and/or vision systems.
- Experience with selecting and integrating sensors and actuators.
- Expertise using various protocols to integrate/network between control systems.
- Experience with project release, installation, and commissioning.
- Working well with a team of controls engineers and/or mentoring.
The best candidates will meet the minimum requirements and may have the following talents:
- Multi-lingual
- B.S. or Advanced degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering
- Knowledge of data integrity and experience with 21CFR part 11
- Experience with Servo motors, Stepper motors, HMI
- Experience with control systems from SAIA Burgess Controls, Beckhoff, Allen Bradley, and Automation Direct
- Experience with robotic systems from Staubli and Yaskawa
- Experience with vision systems from Cognex and Keyence
- Experience with Festo pneumatic smart controllers and Schneider Lexium Drives
- Programming for a capital equipment business
- Writing structured, well documented, “bug-free”, PLC code in any of the five International Electro-technical Commission (IEC) standard languages (Ladder Diagram (LD), Instruction List (IL), Function Block Diagram (FBD), Structured Text (ST), and Sequential Function Chart (SFC))
- Experience with software version control & management
Upon joining the team, you could provide a comprehensive solution to your customer. The solution will conform to ASTM and other regulatory standards. The solution may have required the development of a test method, the design, and manufacture of a machine, and the validation that the equipment achieves the intended purpose.
