Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement structural calculations for various elements of transportation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct thorough inspections of bridges, tunnels, and other structural elements, identifying potential issues and recommending solutions.
- Prepare detailed reports on inspection findings, including potential risks and proposed remediation strategies.
- Develop and finalize comprehensive work plans, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Prepare cost estimates for various projects, considering all relevant factors such as materials, labor, and time.
- Collaborate closely with other engineers, contributing to team efforts and assisting in the completion of projects.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and regulations, applying this knowledge to your work.
- Ensure all work adheres to safety standards, minimizing risks and ensuring the welfare of all team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a strong plus.
- EL certification or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficient in the development of structural calculations for transportation elements.
- Proven experience in bridge inspection and reporting.
- Strong understanding of geometric principles and structural design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare detailed reports and work plans.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential issues and develop effective solutions.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in the use of relevant software and technologies.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Commitment to maintaining high safety standards in all work.
