Position Overview:
This is a journey level position that is independently responsible for the maintenance and repairs to the building and grounds, related fixed portable equipment and installation. Performance of different tasks which include general maintenance and repair, plant operation and maintenance and preventive maintenance.

EDUCATION:
_Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma._
+ HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE
+ EPA universal CFC certification preferred
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
+ 2 years recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
+ Computer skills and building automation systems experience required.
+ Accuracy, attention to detail, ability to organize/ prioritize work.
+ Employee must be able to read, write, and speak the English Language
+ Advanced knowledge of electrical theory and procedures for repairing and maintaining the system
+ Advanced knowledge of air-conditioning, refrigeration and heating control systems, including air balance and system calibration procedures for repair and maintenance
+ Advanced knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and procedures for repair and maintenance
+ Advanced knowledge of procedures, materials and tools used in commercial building remodels and cabinet construction.
+ Advanced knowledge of uniform electrical and building codes
+ Considerable knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the building and mechanical trades
+ Through knowledge of the tools, equipment and materials used in the building trades.
+ Ability to work well with others.
+ Ability to inspect systems and buildings to detect existing or potential problems.
+ Ability to read and understand blueprints.
+ Ability to analyze situations and develop an effective course of action.
+ Ability to perform arithmetic calculations as required by the job.
+ Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.
+ Continuing Education, keeps skill set current in the Facilities Maintenance by participating is self-study programs, and training made available by recognized groups in the trade such as Center for Studies in Higher Education (CSHE), ASHE, International Facility Management Association (IFMA), & Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA).

Pay Range is $52.61 to $60.50 / hour
_The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package._
