Staff Engineer - Land Development - Andersen James Group

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Project Engineer with 3+ years of experience in land development to manage and support civil design projects. This role involves designing, coordinating, and overseeing land development projects, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments, from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead design of land development projects, including grading, stormwater management, and utility systems.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and clients to ensure timely, cost-effective project completion.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (zoning, permits, stormwater, etc.).
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality and accuracy of work.
• Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and permit applications.
• Assist in project management, including scheduling, budgeting, and client communication.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience: 3+ years in land development engineering, with experience in site design, grading, and drainage.
• Licensure: EIT required; PE preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydrology software, and Microsoft Office. Strong project management and communication skills.
• Preferred: Experience with local codes and regulations, and a PE license in TX or ability to obtain TX PE within a year.
