Momnt is a FinTech company headquartered in Atlanta, GA with team members remote throughout the country. We power the moment of need. We currently operate in the Home Improvement and Healthcare verticals, acting as lending infrastructure for Merchants, Consumers, and Lenders. We are looking for a Staff Attorney to make a meaningful impact on the business!
As Staff Attorney, you will be expected to work closely with our executive team and other key department heads across Sales, Operations, Finance, Risk, and Capital Markets. This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer directly.
Location:
This position is located in Atlanta, GA. Relocation is not available at this time.

As Staff Attorney, you will:
- Provide legal guidance and advice to the CEO, executive team, and Board of Directors on a wide range of legal matters
- Operate within Momnt’s existing legal strategy and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including consumer lending laws.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations affecting the company’s business operations.
- Oversee and manage the lifecycle of contracts, from negotiation and drafting to execution and enforcement.
- Collaborate with litigation attorneys when legal disputes arise, supporting investigations, research, and preparation of legal strategies.
- Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations relevant to the industry and provide updates and recommendations to ensure the company's legal compliance.
You’d be a good fit if:
- JD from an accredited law school and member in good standing with a state bar.
- US licensed attorney
- 5 years of experience at a law firm or in-house legal department
- An entrepreneurial spirit and passion for working in a high-growth environment.
- Excellent business judgment and ability to assess legal risk while also thinking strategically and providing practical advice.
- Exceptional communication, analytical and drafting skills.
- Exceptional judgment and integrity, adept at making smart decisions in the face of ambiguity and imperfect information.
- Attention to detail and the ability to view legal issues within the context of business objectives, while effectively coordinating and maintaining strong relationships with cross-functional business partners.
- Used to working in a fast-paced environment, handling novel issues, and providing timely, practical advice designed to enable the business to achieve its goals while managing risk.
