We are seeking a highly skilled, diligent, and analytical Permanent Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledgers, preparing and analyzing budgets, and performing general bookkeeping. Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and analyze financial statements for internal and external purposes, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
2. Conduct month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and updating financial reports.
3. Develop detailed budgets and financial forecasts to guide business decisions.
4. Manage accounts payable, including processing invoices and ensuring timely payments.
5. Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
6. Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
7. Participate in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for senior company leadership.
8. Maintain confidentiality of all financial data.
9. Stay updated with industry trends and current financial legislation.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
2. A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in an accounting role, preferably within the construction industry.
3. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
4. Proficient in handling month-end processes and AP invoices.
5. Excellent numerical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Excel, and accounting software.
7. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting and legislation.
8. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
11. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
