About the Company and Opportunity:

• CFS is working with a well-established local nonprofit with a mission in mind to identify a Staff Accountant to add to their accounting team!
• The Staff Accountant will be part of a supportive and positive team and report to the accounting manager!

Overview of the Staff Accountant role:

• Complete general ledger account reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies
• Enter deposits and electronic payments into system
• Prepare journal entries with supporting documentation and post to the general ledger
• Assist with month-end close
• Assist with accounts receivable

Preferred Qualifications for a Staff Accountant:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of experience in an accounting role
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills - ability to use macros
• Detail and deadline-oriented
• Strong communication skills
• Team-oriented - enjoys working with others and communicates when there are questions
