Staff Accountant

Salary: $70,000-$80,000 (DOE)

Location: Northeast San Antonio, TX

Position Overview:

This is a stand-alone accounting role where the Staff Accountant will oversee all accounting functions, including month-end close, and prepare financials for review by a CPA firm.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and budgets.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end close processes.
• Manage AR, AP, GL, and other small business accounting tasks.
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance with standards.
• Develop and improve processes to enhance financial efficiency.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition standards.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Epicor, Oracle, Great Plains).
• Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP).
