Staff Accountant
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries and reconciliations
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Perform bank reconciliations and account analysis
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation
- Review and process journal entries and ensure accurate posting
- Assist with tax filings and other regulatory requirements as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations
- Assist in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
- CPA or working toward certification is a plus
