Job Summary
The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing complex accounting needs for the company and its affiliates. will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks related to the month-end close, financial statement preparation, inventory management, fixed assets, intellectual property, prepaids, equity, and cash flow management. This role ensures the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and supports the organization’s financial health through diligent cash flow monitoring and cost-saving initiatives.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
In completing the accountant duties, the following essential Functions apply:
- Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Assist with audits and taxes.
- Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating and entering transactions.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Post monthly adjusting journal entries.
- Enter vendor bills.
- Create client invoices.
- Enter and maintain vendor and client information into NetSuite.
- Monthly closings.
- Financial reporting.
- Bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related tasks as needed.
Expectations of Foundational Knowledge and Skills
- Must have considerable knowledge in basic overall accounting and accounting functions.
- Efficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Power Point.
- Knowledgeable and efficient in the use and functionality of ADP & NetSuite
- Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with little direct supervision.
- Ability to accurately work under pressure in meeting deadlines.
- Must have excellent organizational skills.

Physical Requirements

Work Environment
Work will be conducted in a home office environment or remote, and some requirements to work with media sources at their locale as needed. Position requires both sitting and standing in situations.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, or higher.
Must possess 3+ years of experience with processing multi-state payrolls and accounting software.
Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
NetSuite experience a must and QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop experience desired
Must possess strong technical background in the area specified, strong analytical skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have strong Microsoft Office Suite skills with high functioning level of spreadsheets.
