Summary of the Role:
The Staff Accountant is a member of the accounting department who performs routine financial and accounting tasks. They are responsible for preparing reports, maintaining general ledgers and accounts payable files, and keeping up with the company's tax obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs general ledger maintenance including journal entry posting, invoice coding, and new account setup.
- Reconciles bank accounts, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
- Maintains accounts receivable aging including regular communications with customers and vendors for collections inquiries and account reconciliation.
- Prepares invoices for upcoming customer deliveries and applies payments to outstanding invoices.
- Maintains accounts payable including regular communications with vendors for payment inquiries and account reconciliation.
- Maintains vendor form W-9’s.
- Participates in monthly close processes and performs account reconciliations.
- Prepares KPI reporting.

Qualifications:
- 1 years of Accounting, Finance, or other relevant experience
- Preference is to have worked in a manufacturing and/or retail environment with multiple operating units
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Must have excellent Excel skills
- Must be team-oriented and self-motivated, able to multi-task and adapt
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently

- Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds

- Extended computer usage
- Extended phone usage including teleconferences, and work environments that include exposure to, but not limited to, fumes, dust, odors, heights, indoor AC, no AC, motion, and noise
- This is a hybrid position
