Job Details
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain financial records and ensure their accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary.
- Prepare & analyze financial statements to recommend efficiency improvements and cost reductions.
- Prepare and adjust journal entries and complete general ledger operations.
- Prepare budgets and financial forecasts in coordination with various departments.
- Conduct variance analysis and prepare financial reports for management on a regular basis.
- Manage payroll processing and ensure accurate computation of wages, compliance with regulations, and timely tax withholdings.
- Identify opportunities for improving financial processes and controls.
- Manage inventory accounting and maintain records of assets and depreciations.
- Prepare & present departmental financial status reports.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s & Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting.
- Proven work experience as an Accountant or in a similar role
- Comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency with accounting software and databases (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
- Ability to prepare, review, and understand financial statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Knowledge of accounting procedures, including accounts receivable/payable
