Staff Accountant - Ledgent Finance & Accounting

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing accounting tasks to ensure the accuracy of financial records. You will assist with month-end and year-end close processes, prepare financial statements, and support the broader accounting team with various projects and reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries and general ledger entries.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist with the preparation of tax filings and support audits.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of budget reports and financial forecasting.
- Maintain fixed asset records and related depreciation schedules.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Participate in various ad-hoc accounting projects as needed.
- Provide support for audits and internal reviews.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance, ideally in a corporate environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
